Raised in the West Gothia region of Sweden and got his musical training in different brass bands with very little or no jazz in their books.
Moved north about quarter-of-a-century ago just in time to fill a vacancy in Barfota Jazzmen. He had very little experinece of jazz before, but it appeared that this special style with a lot of tail-gate playing, fitted him like a glove.
He really has acquired a very personal and genuine style of his own, without glancing at any of the great names of trombone-playing. That means he has got no definitive favourites among the big names in traditional jazz.
